This was a butterflying trip organised by Naturetrek although it was run on the ground by a Ghanaian company called Ashanti African Tours with a tour leader (Andrew) provided by them as well. It was all in forests so it was all forest butterflies that we saw. It was very hot & very humid so pretty hard work although the number of species seen was very high. Identification was very difficult due to the amount of different morphs & forms (dry season, wet season etc) as well as mimicry rings & just generally similar species. Due to these factors it will take some time to sort through all my photos & attempt ID's so this page will be built up gradually.
