These photos were taken on a package holiday to Florida in the 1st fortnight in September 2023. We were based in New Smyrna Beach & were restricted to a few sites accessible by foot or on bicycle. We were self guided on all the trips we took & used a small guidebook (Butterflies of Florida by Jaret C. Daniels) for identification purposes. Most of the large butterflies should be correctly named but when it comes to the skippers I found ID's pretty difficult & am therefore not confident that I have everything named correctly. It was a good place for butterflies given our limited area of travel but the heat & humidity (& biting insects) made long days in the field pretty exhausting. Still, all in all we had a great time butterfly hunting & were fairly happy with the results.
